| Hello Everyone! I am off to Indian Wells for the Pacific Life Open with at least 25 members and friends of the Club. If you are one of the lucky ones, I will see you down there. I will return on Friday, March 17. Patric and Philip (with Kendall on Sunday) will handle the Club's business while I am gone. Reservations will be as usual, Monday morning starting at 8:30 a.m.. If you are an Orindawoods Homeowner, remember that the Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 18 at 3 p.m.. This meeting is for homeowners only, so the rest of you, book a court and play because everyone else will be stuck in the meeting. The Orindawoods Senior Championships are coming up at the end of the month. The tournament uses all the courts starting Monday, March 27 through Sunday, April 2. There will be times to play, but it will be on a mostly first come, first serve basis if the tournament is not using the courts. Early morning tennis should be OK too, as we don't plan to start tournament play before 9 a.m.. There will be some evening reservations allowed, but they can be bumped if the courts are needed for tournament play. If you are interested in playing in the tournament, the entry deadline is March 15. Our Ace It! Breast Cancer Awareness Fund Raiser is on June 24th this year. Save the date for this great event. Registration will begin in early April. The Spring Junior Program will begin the week of April 3. For details on the classes, visit our Junior Page. Spring classes will follow the same schedule as the Winter Program, with the same cost. The Club looks to be very active this spring. I really encourage every member to look at the Club Calendar on the website (www.orindawoodstennis.com) and see when the courts might be busy. We always leave some courts for reservations, but at those busy times, it is a good idea to plan ahead and make a reservation. I hear it might snow tonight, here in Orinda, so I am off to Palm Springs. Please contact Patric if you have any questions, and I will see you on the 17th. --Keith |
