Hi Everyone,

Our last Twilight Tennis BBQ is coming up on Sunday, October 15^th. Tennis will be played from 4-6 pm in the afternoon, and then dinner served starting at 6pm.

The first three twilights of the summer have been wonderful, with about 35 people playing tennis and a few more just coming for dinner. Twilights are a great way to get out of the house, play some tennis, meet some people, spend time with friends, and have someone else cook your dinner. Sounds good to me!

To register, contact Keith (reply to this e-mail) at the Club. Be sure to let him know 1) if you are playing tennis or just dining and 2) your choice of meat. The cost is $20 each for members, $25 for non-members. We serve Kinder’s meats, and you have the choice of either filet mignon or grilled chicken breast.

Twilights are “Bring Your Own Beverage (BYOB)”, everything else is provided.

Other Happenings:

The LED court lights will be installed later this month. There will be a couple of days where we will not have lights in the evening during construction. Construction dates will be determined later in October. We will also have new procedures for using the lights once they are installed.  

The Orindawoods Tennis Club Pool will close near the end of October, depending on the weather. There are some great days in the fall, so enjoy the last month of splashing round.

The Orindawoods Junior Championships will be held October 20-23. No courts will be available for member play Friday night, and all day Saturday and Sunday (depending on the enrollments and weather, the tournament may be over by midday Sunday). Thanks for supporting junior tennis, and sorry for the inconvenience of not being able to play that weekend.

The weather has been very good of late, hope you are enjoying a wonderful fall.
