How’s the weather? Ugh! A bit too much rain, eh? This week it's all mist, all the time. Hey, I figure if we just start acting like it is summer, the rain will stop. Right? Follow my lead! 

Tulip Tournament

Well, we are going to kick off the spring tennis festivities on Sunday, April 14^thwith the annual Tulip Tournament. This year’s event will feature tennis from 3-5 p.m., followed by a pot luck dinner 5-6:30 p.m. John Bockman is helping me organize this one. Should be fun, people are inching for tennis action! 

You can bring an appetizer, salad, main course or dessert. We’ll provide some margaritas, and you can bring whatever other beverage you would like. If you have already signed up with John Bockman through e-vite, no need to reply again. But if you would like to register for this event, just reply to this e-mail. Let me know what you are bringing. We're looking forward to seeing everyone come out! 

Monday Team Tennis

And it is also time to start registering for Monday Team Tennis. Monday Team Tennis, our summer social tennis league and dining experience, begins the first Monday in May, May 6^th. The cost is $50 for members, $75 for non-members. We will play each Monday night (excluding Memorial Day and Labor Day) throughout the summer.

If you have never played MTT before, it’s the best! We divide the participants into teams and play a league match each week from 6-8:15 p.m., followed by dinner. The hosting team for the week will prepare dinner (you will be expected to bring side dishes; the main course will be prepared by one member of your team). Each week you bring your own beverage.

If you are out of town some of the summer, as long as you are here a little more than half the Mondays, still sign up! Each team has extra players who can sub when you're away. 

Twilight BBQs

We are currently finalizing the Twilight Tennis BBQ schedule for the summer as well. Twilights are two hours of tennis followed by a BBQ steak or chicken dinner on the Club's deck. We will have a Twilight BBQ and Tennis event once a month throughout the summer (June through September). Look forward to the dates, to be released soon!

And enough rain already. I’m ready for some summer fun! Let's go!
