Bill Siimpson Update
Hello Everyone,

Many of you may not know this, but Bill Simpson collapsed on the court on Friday afternoon while taking a tennis lesson with me.

The good news is that Bill is recovering at John Muir Hospital. He is able to talk, and recognizes his family members. Honestly, we all thought, including his doctor, that we had lost him.

After his initial heart attack on the court, Bill went into full cardiac arrest in the ambulance, and at least 4 more times at the hospital.

Patric, and the ladies in his clinic we fantastic in dealing with the situation. Patric called 911, Joyce and Fran helped with Bill's wife Genia, and, of course, Melody, who gave Bill CPR. She was amazing under intense stress and uncertainty. The situation certainly wasn't as clear cut as in those CPR classes.

I can not say enough good things about the Orinda Fire Department and EMTs, plus the police. They were here within 5 minutes of the call and worked with Bill for 25 minutes on the court until he could be moved. Most of the time they were giving him CPR.

We are all so grateful that Bill is doing well, and we will continue to hold a good though for him and his full recovery.
